Disabling tablist

I have been trying to create a server where you can't tell when players are online.

But I can't seem to work out how to remove all player's from the tab list.

It is supposed to be based off of the Minecraft series called "Naked And Afraid" or "No Armor Hardcore"

I am using 1.20.6 Skript.

This doesn't seem to work, it shows no errors but i can still see them if I add them to the vanished group.

on join:
    set join message to ""
    make console execute command "/gamerule announceAdvancements false"
    add player to {vanished::*}
    
on server list ping:
    hide {vanished::*} from the server list

I have tried something that works but it's a little weird by covering the tablist header in errors
