Minecraft Version: 1.12.2

Does anyone know how to make a player's footsteps silent while sneaking? Sneaking only seems to make you not able to hear your own footsteps, other players can still hear them.
 
Do your research on Skript and its respective addons before posting.

With my current knowledge, this is not possible, as it is in the game files and client sided. Minecraft itself always has the /stopsound command, although at this moment in time, I believe it's not possible.
