is it possible to put nether fog in the overworld?

im trying to do a box pvp server and trying to find a way to put fog of the nether in the overworld pls if u know send a reply waiting for any help thx
 
I don't think you could achieve this kind of thing in Vanilla Minecraft as I believe fog is part of Minecraft's source code. You could maybe achieve this with a texture pack but to change the function of nether fog in the overworked would probably require a Datapack, if not; a Mod.
 
Perhaps you could send a packet to the client that fakes them being in the nether, maybe a specific biome that has that effect, note that this will most likely change the color of the sky, instead you could use the darkness effect.
