    $ thread
    set {_amount} to checkRubies(player)
    set {_message} to "[AMOUNT]"
    replace "[AMOUNT]" in {_message} with "%{_amount}%"
    setSlot({_p}, "Owner", 16, "%{_amount}%")
 
because "player" is not here.... use {_p} instead plyer

btw. you can do it

set {_amount} to checkRubies({_p})

if you got an return in function...
