Making wands.

I am trying to make a wand with The push feature the Player would right click damaging any entities in the way but I don't know how to loop all the entities 10 blocks in front of player.

loop all entities in radius 10 around the player:
  damage loop-entity by <amount of damage in hearts>

William One question Around player wont work cause then it will hit players behind in places wont work.
